Fadel Educational Foundation
, Inc. (the "Foundation"), is a non-profit corporation organized
under the laws of the State of
. The Foundation also enjoys tax exempt status under Section 501(c)(3) of the
Internal Revenue Code of the United States of America. The Foundation was
founded in 1992 by members of the Fadel Family with the aim of encouraging
American Muslims to pursue higher education by providing qualified applicants
with monetary assistance to help them achieve their educational ambitions.
Since its founding in 1992, the Foundation has distributed over $550,000 in
grants to American Muslims without regard to the applicant's race, gender,
sect, or ethnicity. In addition to cash grants to applicants, the Foundation
has established a modest endowment that is used to help defray certain
operating costs of the Foundation. All of the Foundation's activities have
been funded by the donations of individual members of the Fadel family.

Schools’ League of America Scholarship helps Muslim students attend
private Islamic schools in the
Roothbert Fund, Inc. Applications are available November 1 to January
31 for the following school year. Applicants should residen in
District of Columbia
. Interviews are held in March of each year at Fund headquarters in
New York City
and currently also in
Scholarship Fund assists undergraduate Muslim students in 4-yr
colleges in the Chicagoland area.
