FEF,
Inc., is a non-profit educational foundation
supporting education for Muslim U.S. citizens and permanent residents. The
awards are distributed on a need/merit basis up to
$2,000 a year for post-secondary education.
The application
for scholarships for 2006-7 is now available. The application is divided
into two parts. The deadline for sending the first part is April 19, 2006. The
deadline for the second part is May 31, 2006.
Award winners from 2004-5 and 2005-6 can apply for
renewals in 2006-7. The 2006-7
Renewal Application must be submitted by May 31, 2006.
Applications
for scholarships for the 2006-7 academic year will

The
Fadel Educational Foundation
, Inc. (the "Foundation"), is a non-profit corporation organized
under the laws of the State of
Georgia
. The Foundation also enjoys tax exempt status under Section 501(c)(3) of the
Internal Revenue Code of the United States of America. The Foundation was
founded in 1992 by members of the Fadel Family with the aim of encouraging
American Muslims to pursue higher education by providing qualified applicants
with monetary assistance to help them achieve their educational ambitions.
Since its founding in 1992, the Foundation has distributed over $550,000 in
grants to American Muslims without regard to the applicant's race, gender,
sect, or ethnicity. In addition to cash grants to applicants, the Foundation
has established a modest endowment that is used to help defray certain
operating costs of the Foundation. All of the Foundation's activities have
been funded by the donations of individual members of the Fadel family.
