five Matric Scores among all RCCs come from Darbhanga:
A rare distinction has been achieved by RCC Darbhanga; they took away all the top five spots in terms of scores in the matric exam obtained by students of all RCCs, including the RCC Jamshedpur which separated to become FCC during the academic year gone by. Below is a list of top 25 scorers which does not include the FCC Jamshedpur (being managed by the same team as the previous RCC Jamshedpur, but being sponsored by 3 benevolent brothers based in Riyadh). After the top five, next top five scorers come from Patna, Chapra, Chitarpur (Ramgargh) – 2 nos, Samastipur, respectively. In the top twenty-five, maximum six number of students come from RCC Darbhanga, followed by Patna with five if its students; other RCCs generally account for two students in the list. FREE

Coaching Centres Produce Much Better Results than Most Commercial
Coaching Centres for Matric exam Total of 327 students could make it this year, in the matric (10th Bihar and Jharkhand board exams) from the 19 centres that operated during current academic year, alhamdolillah. Unfortunately, 31 students out of a total of 358 could not make it. Most of these are students who studied in the RCCs for less than 9 months during the current year. The students who have consistently been with the RCCs from 8th grade (in the 3 centres which started in 2009) have done excellently well, thus making a case for “catching them young”. A total of 138 students could achieve first division, while 160 received second division and 31 students were placed in the third division. The passing rate of all RCCs combined is 91.3%, which was not achieved by many commercial coaching centres that we surveyed. If we keep RCC Dhanbad (in a remote place called Baghakuri, under Kumardhubi in Dhanbad district) out of this calculation, then the passing percentage comes to 93.2% which matches with last year’s results. RCC Dhanbad has been a much younger member of the RCC fraternity considering the fact that it commenced its operations on 4th October 2011. The students got jcoaching centresust 4 months of coaching at the centre. The level of students who join the RCCs has always been very low, because they come only from the government schools (as a policy of RCCs) wherein teaching hardly takes place. Unless these muslim students are coached to cross the threshold of 10th board, the percentage in higher studies cannot be increased. A whopping 8 students failed from RCC Dhanbad, proving the genuineness of implementing our policy and the academic level of the students at entry level of RCCs. So, even though this is a sad news for the RCC Dhanbad, we congratulate them for having tried their best during the 4 months they got. It does require a lot of guts to take up the challenge of transforming the non-meritorious lot into the meritorious ones, that is churning heros out of zeros. RAHBAR Coaching Centre, Gopalganj2 @ Hathwa conducted its 14th Awards ceremony, on 18th June 2012: Er Janab Shakeel Ahmad, IITian and a Moderator of Bihar Anjuman graced the occasion as chief guest, while Prof Asif Moazzam, Faculty member, King Khalid University, Abha, Saudi Arabia and Jb Nooruz Zoha, Team Leader, RCC, Tajpur, Samastipur were the special guests invited for the occasion. The function started at 7:00 am with the recital of the Holy Quran by Sameena Shabnam, a student of Grade IX.. Jb Sharfuddin Ahmad welcomed the Chief Guest, Janab Shakeel Ahmad and invited Arshad Masood Hashmi to introduce him to the audience. Er Shakeel Ahmad’s name is synonymous with ‘mission’, ‘zeal’, and ‘farsightednesses, said Arshad Masood Hashmi, while introducing the Honorable Chief Guest to the audience. He is founder of Bihar Anjuman which is working for upliftment of Muslims in Bihar & Jharkhand. He is native of Samastipur District of Bihar. Humane, kind, soft spoken and cheerful, author of a book on Isamic Banking, Er Shakeel Ahmad is an MBA from XLRI Jamshedpur and B.TECH (Civil Eng) from IIT, BHU. His management skills have brought hundreds and thousands of likeminded people together who are connected with each other through internet since 2004 under the umbrella of Bihar Anjuman. All these people are educating the underprivileged students to achieve technological and professional excellence. It is an honour, a matter of great pride and enthusiasm, to have a man like him to grace the occasion with his graceful presence. Prof Asif Moazzam, Faculty member, King Khalid University, Abha, KSA is visiting this centre for the second time, Hashmi said. He belongs to a nearby locality and has been actively engaged in managing sponsorship of the latest centre of RCC at Bahariya, Siwan. Jb Nooruz Zoha, being the Team Leader of the first RCC at Tajpur, accompanied Er Shakeel Ahmad Saheb to share his experiences with the members of Hathwa Center. Br Nooruz Zoha, in his talk, dealt in detail with the ups and downs he had to face in RCC Samastipur. He said that he always strived to make the slogan of Rahbar, from zero to hero, a fact. Thereafter, Br Asif Moazzam was invited to deliver his speech. He asked all the members of the management committee, guardians and students to do their best in helping Rahbar realise its dream of creating an educated society. Jb Maulana Zaheer Nadavi Sb, Team Leader of RCC, Thawe, also graced the occasion. He was of the opinion that Rahbar is playing a decisive role in honing the future of financially weak children who are deprived of quality education and viable guidance. Dr Manoj Kumar lauded different roles played by Bihar Anjuman. He announced the names of the students for their prizes based on their performance in previous fortnightly tests. The prizes of different categories were given by the guests while the prizes for the best class performance were given by the Chief Guest. Er Shakeel Ahmad Saheb was greeted with a loud applause. Cited ayahs of the Qur’an he briefly explained the importance of education and self-service. A nation or a community, that doesn’t strive to improve its own well-being and change with demands of time, is bound to lag behind in the race of survival, he said. On the plight of the Muslim community in India, he said that we have become mere ‘beggars’, because instead of paving a way for the upliftment of the community, we are asking the government to provide us bread and shelter. Even if one talks about his rights and demands it from the government, he is a believer in no-action. He said that Muslims are the Khalifa for the whole society. They are supposed to guide and nourish the society, but the reality is otherwise. He wondered why we must look towards the governments to ‘help’ us In this regard. Referring to the Qur’an, he opined that we are born to ‘give’; give whatever one can, to our kiths and kins, to our neighbours, to his society, to his land, to his country without asking for anything in return, without expecting anything in return except the betterment of society. Education is the only means that will make one achieve this position. Janab Shakeel Ahmad said that RAHBAR believes in the Holy Teaching of being a giver, a donor. He explained the motive of Biahr Anjuman and its NGO, RAHBAR and said that we have to make the best use of available technology for our community development. The Muslim world is far behind the "others" in technology (and of course, education, as a whole). Unless we made the best use of all available technology, we would go further down. He said that he is striving to bring Muslims from all walks of life to interact and act jointly with an objective to educate, motivate, inspire and instil confidence in young generation. We join hands to eradicate miseries and evil practices from our society. Our objective is to see that the community puts its unspent energy to constructive use, he said. Elaborating on RAHBAR Coaching Centres, Janab Shakeel Ahmad said that RAHBAR’s goal is to increase our share in higher education and jobs, by transforming the seemingly non-meritorious lot forced to rot in government schools because they cannot afford to go to private schools into meritorious ones. Janab Shakeel Ahmad expressed his gratitude towards Br Tarique Anwar, Principal, Iqra Public School, who provided his campus and classrooms for running RCC. He expressed his admiration for Dr Manoj Kumar and Dr Sarfaraz Ahmad for their support to the cause. Mentioning the Sponsor, Er Athar Shaheen Hashmi, he said that it was due to his generous support and insistence that this centre was given an approval. It is up to the Management Committee and the teachers to make it a viable centre. Dr Sarfaraz Ahmad presented the Vote of Thanks. The program came to an end with the supplications offered by Maulanaa Abdul Shakoor Sb. Er shakeel Ahmad Saheb met with the students of Grade X and their parents, separately, who shared their thoughts. He advised them to gain as much as they can from this centre. He encouraged them to get themselves prepared for Polytechnic and ITI exams as well. |
