Dear readers,

Assalamo Alaikum Warahmatullah.

Hope that this magazine finds you in best of health and a superlative degree of Eimaan.

With much delight, Bakhabar team presents before you the June 2010 Issue with a new and fresh look. I hope that this change will provide you a concise reading and you enjoy the magazine even more.

Thanks to Br. Siraj Akram (The man behind the well devised compilation of Bakhabar) for his undying spirit and commitment for Bakhabar. May Allah bless him for his selfless act.

This month witnessed the declaration of some important exams result viz. Civil Services and Secondary school of many education boards.

These two are different domains and can’t be dealt jointly. However, I would voice these concerns of mine:

The 100 % result of students from almost all coaching centers of Bihar Anjuman is very promising. Heartiest congratulations to all those who directly or indirectly participated in running and managing these coaching centers. May Allah bless them here and hereafter.

This is a great achievement, and in itself is enough to prove that the neglected lot of our society can do much better if coached and guided well.

But the good result poses another challenge of “WHAT NEXT..?”

These eyes shining with ambition and hope are asking. What next for us…?

So… What we are planning to do for them now…?

The news of Shah Faesal topping the prestigious civil services exam gives some relief from the deteriorating situation of Muslim’s participation in the elite league of Civil Servants.

Why the participation of Muslims in legislation, enforcement and execution is getting less day by day is the hottest topic of discussion among the intellectuals. Much hue and cry is there on the Civil services exams results as compared with data from census and other parallel committees.

For me, the cries of foul play and partialities are just a notion of our escaping attitude.

One of my acquaintances, who fortunately was the colleague of Shah Faesal in Hamdard study circle briefed me about him.

Shah Faesal is a normal man with the same volume of grey matter as I and you have, with only a difference in the level of dedication and commitment. These traits elevated him from the level of normalcy to extra ordinary.

At this instance I will pause to raise another question.

How much of us dared to dream of competing civil services at the time we would have done that…?

I do agree, reasons are many: in some cases immediate financial support needed by the family curb the aspirations. The hype associated with Civil services is one of the other reasons restraining us from thinking big.

Let’s end the talk here with a pledge that we shall not let our next generation repeat the same.                                                                                           top

Kind Regards,
Syed Shibli Manzoor
