Dear readers, Assalamo Alaikum Warahmatullah. Heartiest Congratulations!! RAHBAR Coaching Centre, Jamshedpur becomes the 1st centre of 2nd phase, getting inaugurated on 11th July. [Coaching centre # 8] May Allah bless us with eimaan, purity of intentions and a life balanced in all aspects.. Ameen..! At the onset, I would thank you for the open hearted acceptance and warm welcome with which the last edition of Bakhabar was received. Many appreciative responses from readers on the new outlook of Bakhabar, implemented from the June 2010 edition were received. These bits and bytes provide us an opportunity to improve and keep us going. Thanks a lot for being with us! We, at Bihar Anjuman, hope that we will keep getting this love and affection in future also. Talking in context of the last month’s activities of Bihar Anjuman, it is unquestionably apparent that all the activities are grand in themselves, and depict the selfless and hard labor of people involved in those activities. However, the initiative taken by Patna and Darbhanga coaching centres for the counseling of students after passing their 10th board is worth appreciation. In the last editorials, I stressed that acute dearth of proper counseling is one of the major cause for a high drop-out and a low success level. We would request all the members, to do career counseling on a micro or macro level in their locality and for the youngsters among their relatives. I urge you to participate in Bihar Anjuman’s drive to identify “the best coaching centre” by casting your vote. Your inputs will definitely help us in making the coaching centers project an exemplary success. You can visit this link for casting your vote and posting your views: (http://bakhabar.freepolls.com/cgi-bin/polls/005/poll_center.htm) In the last editorial the reason for “low representation of Muslims in IAS” was discussed in brief. Since, this is a vast and much debatable topic; all the aspects can not be dealt in a few lines. However, we all belong to the lot that can think and well analyze the reasons behind the low representation.Let’s work to eliminate to some extent the factors that force our community to lag behind. The implementation of Civil Services Aptitude test (CSAT) is a landmark amendment in the selection procedure of elite administrative services. As understood from the notifications and expert’s analysis, CSAT is devised to judge the aptitude and decision making capacity on the moral and ethical background of an individual. A large section of youngsters of our society are opting for technical subjects to secure their career. But after the completion of their degree in Engineering or science they tend to be repellant for appearing at the civil services exams. Unlike before, the amendment will surely make the cracking of this hard nut easier for science and engineering students. What if we missed the opportunity..? Why not give this a try and pursuade our youngers to opt for a career in civil services..? Now I bid adieu with a promise to return with the same zeal, the next month. Kind
