Driver's
son wants to become Engineer; will RCC Bhagalpur turn his
dream into reality? Name: Md. Faizal equbal, S/o Md. Khursheed, Village: Puraini, Jagdishpur, Distt. Bhagalpur Grade: 9th If this child's performance in RAHBAR Coaching Centre (RCC) @ in a remote village of Bhagalpur [http://bhagalpur.biharanjuman.org/] is any indication, indeed, Mohd Faizal Iqbal, S/o Mohd. Khursheed (Driver) should be able to fulfill his dream of becoming an engineer. From an average score of 17% in Science, Maths, English, and Social Studies, being taught in RCC Bhagalpur, in the month of October 2011 (when this RCC started) his performance has consistently been improving. In November, his average increased to 24%, then to 33% in December, and to 44% in January 2012 (last report received). He has a long way to go before he writes his board exam in 2013. His morale is rising along with his performance, but with just 44% score, is the dream of becoming an engineer realistic? We are as confident of his positive transformation as he may be ... The spark in him is already showing up as a flame of hope ... and this is what has encouraged us to set a target of sending at least 25 such students into engineering, this year (diploma engg, after 10th). During last 2 years, alhamdolillah, we sent 23 such students (into diploma engg.) who had been left over by the society because of the combined tag of poverty & non-meritorious that they carried without any fault of theirs. They had remained non-meritorious, because teaching did not take place in the government schools they were forced to go to because they could not afford to go to private schools or take private tuition. This is what the RAHBAR Coaching to stop drop-outs is doing - transforming the non-meritorious students of govt. schools into meritorious ones - in all the 19 centres of 18 districts in Bihar & Jharkhand. The 20th one is to start in Kawakol, Nawadah distt, in first week of April 2012. And, we have a mission of establishing a minimum of 62 such centres in the 62 districts of Bihar & Jharkhand, with your help, insha-Allah. In the current year, Bihar Anjuman plans to start 15 more such RCCs, to help many more drop-outs (at 17%, what else is the option?) become promising performers, insha-Allah. And, this is where you can lend a hand. If you wish to become a partner in this transformation, and be an agent of change, write to us [coaching@biharanjuman.org] Note: The Aligarh Forum in association with the Aligarh Alumni Association of Washington DC is sponsoring 3 RCCs [2 in Bihar and 1 in Jharkhand]. Charity Way Foundation is sponsoring 2 centres in Bihar. Individuals are sponsoring 4 RCCs, while Bihar Anjuman's chapters are sponsoring the remaining 11 RCCs [total 20 including the new centre in Nawadah]. We need more sponsors for 13 out of 15 new RCCs planned in 2012. If you can either sponsor a RCC fully (Rs. 11,000/= per month), partially, or connect us with potential sponsors, it would definitely be a source of sadaqa-e-jariya for you ... and what a sadaqa indeed!!! 5th Awards Ceremony @ RAHBAR Coaching Centre, Chitarpur, Ramgarh on 10-02-2012, at Darsgah Islami , Chitarpur: [http://ramgarh.biharanjuman.org/] Chief Guests on the occasion was Janab Shamsher Sb. Therefore, You must understand the value of time. Janab T. Ahsan Khan Sb, addressing the students said "You have just listened the importance of time by Shamsher Sb. Really, time is the only wealth of any student. You have heard about APJ Abdul kalam, former President of India and also know him as the Missile Man of India. Al-Kharj
(KSA) chapter of Bihar Anjuman decides to sponsor one RAHBAR Coaching
Centre starting April 2012:
Al-Kharj which became a chapter only five months back (1st Oct 2011) has decided to sponsor one RCC, with effect from April 2012 - that's when they would get a RCC allocated, witht he commencement of new academic session. Al-Kharj becomes the 7th chapter of Bihar Anjuman to sponsor this coaching program to stop drop-outs of school children. Bihar Anjuman is primarily networking noble souls (individuals and organizations) to do whatever they can, from wherever they are, as per their interests and capabilities. People who live out of the state pool ideas and funds, while those living within Bihar are motivated to implement those ideas. The model works something like this: Led by brother Kaunain Shahidi, and guided by the Riyadh chapter, the Al-Kharj chapter is being joined by noble brothers from Bihar & Jharkhand who want to bring about some positive change in the lives of their financially-challenged brothers, back home. If you live around this place, and wish to become a partner in this positive change, write to kaunainshahidi@gmail.com Activity centres (that manage the projects, see the pic above) survive on support from chapters. If you are in one of the places where there is already a chapter, please get in touch with the chapter. If you are not in any place, you may like to initiate a chapter in your city or country of residence; write to chapter@biharanjuman.org. Kindly do join hands for a noble cause.
